Our Ethos

As its founding principle, The Art School promotes and cultivates the traditional arts through individualized practice and study.  It is through this pursuit that the students of The Art School continue the long established history of our culturally treasured arts.

Staff

Jo Claire Dodson, primary instructor and founder of The Art School, is a recipient of a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Hendrix College. She opened the school in 2002, and continues to promote the pursuit of creative excellence in her students. This constant dedication has rewarded her with a CAFTA award nomination for best educator in the city of Conway.

Our Location

Located in historic downtown Conway, The Art School hosts classes in the First American Building near the city's Chamber of Commerce. Immediately next door to this locale is The Art School's proud mural.
